A Guide to Wedding Dress Shapes




Hi, I am Amanda Williams, arising junior at Harvard College. It is finally the time to choose your special dress. There are many different shapes and styles to choose from when you are looking for your dress. Do not feel overwhelmed as is each every wedding dress shops system has been specially trained to give you correct advice for your body type.





The most important thing is to make sure you try on as many dresses as you can. Here are few different shapes that you look out:





Ball gown type dresses are recommended for the full-figured pear-shaped and thin body shapes. This style may also be considered for some people who are petit or having hour-glass Feest Jurken figure.





Umpire waist gowns are recommended for women who are petit or do not have defined waist lines. They may also be considered for women with an inverted pear shape body. This style is not recommended for women with hour-glass figures.





A-line gowns are recommended for most body types except for women who do Vintage Trouwjurk not have a define waist line, while neither the A-line nor prentiss has a defined waist line. The prentiss style does have noticeable vertical panels.
